Guidelines

General Participant Rules- The minimum word count for writers is 10k.
- The minimum word count for writers must be reached by posting date; for a one-shot this means it must fulfill the minimum wordcount and be complete, for a multichaptered fic we want so many chapters of the fic be done that the minimum wordcount is fulfilled in total, but the whole fic doesn't have to be complete yet. We ask you to please commit to your piece though and eventually finish it.
- Artists have to create two art pieces, colored and with background.
- Creation Period will be 9 months.
- Teams will be built after the first check-in where writers not only have to submit a summary, but also an excerpt of their fic for the Bang. The word count for this excerpt is 1k.
- A soft check-in is to simply check in if the participant is still active and interested in participating. A hard check-in is to have an update on the status of the bang work; it will not have any requirement of how much has to be done already, but it does require feedback from the participant.

General Rules- This event is +18. By entering this event, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If we find out that you lied about your age, this results in an immediate ban from the server and event.
- Be kind and respectful to others. “No” and “Stop” are complete sentences, don’t do/say something you wouldn’t want for yourself, only give critiques when asked.
- Plagiarism is not allowed and will result in an immediate ban.
- No talking about your work outside the Bang. Please refrain from discussing your work outside of the server since we want to keep the Bang works as a surprise. Writers are asked to keep their ideas to the writer’s channel before teams are announced to keep claims fair.

- All stories and art must be new for the bang and must not have been posted about prior to this bang.
- Although the event is for adult participants only, it is not required or expected to create a NSFW piece.
- We have no restrictions on content, but we highly emphasize the need for proper tagging.

What is a Mega Bang?
A Big Bang (or “Bang” for short) is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms. A Mega Bang is the same with a higher word count, resulting in bigger works and longer creation periods.What is the ShinKami Mega Bang?
The ShinKami Mega Bang is a Mega Bang revolving around the romantic ship between Shinsou Hitoshi and Kaminari Denki from My Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kōhei.Are there any content restrictions?
No, we do not restrict any content, but we highly emphasize the need for proper tagging.Can minors participate?

Absolutely! The majority of communication will be made through Discord.Will I be able to apply as a writer and an artist?
Yes! You can also choose to be a beta or pinch hitter in addition to being a writer/artist. You do not need to be a writer/artist to be a beta/pinch hitter.What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is kind of like a backup. Life can get crazy, and we aren’t always able to finish projects we thought we could. If you need to drop from the Bang, a pinch hitter will step in to complete the work.
For an artist pinch hitter this means to create a piece to the fic that is lacking an artist now, all in cooperation with the writer.
As a writer pinch hitter you will have to basically work like in a reverse Bang with an artist whose artwork is to some degree done. If the former writer is okay with the pinch hitter continuing their story, then this is what is given. Otherwise the writer pinch hitter will work on a new story that can go with the artwork.
This means for a pinch hitter you have to be flexible and work with less time than usual.What are those soft and hard check-ins?
We will use soft check-ins to see if the participants are still active in the server and interested in participation, nothing more than a simple reaction on a message is required.
Hard check-ins are used to ask participants about the status of their bang work; we however acknowledge that everyone works in their own pace, so we will not require a certain percentage to be met, but we do ask of a feedback to be given during every check-in, no matter how little the update might be.If I have more questions, where do I ask them?
